P5- Exporting images onto my PC.

Image
I have created a folder for my product. I named the folder Lightroom images. This folder consists of my final images which I have edited and exported into this folder. It also contains the images which I have filled out the metadata on. These images are my final product. These images are saved into a file so I can save them and add them onto a portfolio that I could make in the future or I could show them to future employers as evidence that I have experience in photography. In order to do this I will need to export the images onto one drive so I can access these image anywhere and add the, to a folder which I will be able to access outside of college. I exported my images as a JPEG and have different file names so I know which photo is which and also shows my experience in using different settings when exporting my images. I have included the metadata in all of these images that I have exported so I know the file size and so that I have full copyright access to my own images.

M4- What is metadata?

The metadata is a set of data which describes and gives information about other data. In photography for example, the metadata gives information about the rights and administration of an image. It allows information to be transported with an image file in a way that can be understood by other software and human users. For example, the metadata can include attributes about an image such as its; height, width or the type of compression used to store it. The metadata can also be used to describe the content of an image, the name of the photographer and the date and time which the image was taken.  EXIF data means exchangeable image file format. This is basic metadata that is generated and stored by the camera whenever you take a photo. IPTC is the most used metadata and refers to information that describes something about an image. IPTC defines metadata structure, properties and fields so that images are optimally accessed. The metadata is on the right of the image. I had to fil...

P4- Organisation

Image
In this image you can see how I rated my photos from 1-5 star on Adobe Lightroom. This is rated from either how good the image is or weather it matches the brief of beautiful Doncaster. The images that I rate highly will be edited on Adobe Lightroom to make the image even better. In Adobe Lightroom I will change the exposure, saturation, contrast and delete unwanted things from images by using the healing brush. I rejected the images that were 2 stars or below because I didn't believe that they were good enough to edit or didn't match the beautiful Doncaster brief that we have been set. they selected the images that were 3 stars or above because I thought that they matched the brief and they would be easily editable.  I have rated the images 5 star that I will use for my final product. this means I would off enjoyed the shot composition and the images will match the brief to show how beautiful Doncaster is.  I will definitely edit this image to make it match the brief e...
